ASICS Simulated Learning Environment
Seamless solutions for a smoother store experience
To ensure a smooth and successful rollout of their new SAP‑based Retail Store module, ASICS sought a partner who could deliver clear, practical, and engaging training. The new system introduced essential functionalities for stock management, online purchasing, and in‑store customer support. By collaborating with SMS, ASICS aimed to equip their store managers and sales representatives with the confidence and skills needed to adopt the system quickly and elevate the overall retail experience.
The Customer
ASICS, a globally recognized leader in performance footwear and sportswear, is committed to continuously improving both their products and their customer experience. As part of this ambition, they implemented a new SAP retail store module across 900 stores in the United States. With 3,500 employees relying on the system daily, effective training was crucial to ensure a seamless transition and to unlock the full potential of the new technology.
The Solution
E-Learning and Practical Training:
To support ASICS in mastering the new SAP module, we developed a comprehensive training program designed for accessibility and real‑world application. Interactive e‑learning modules were created for key scenarios such as BOPIS (Buy Online, Pick Up in Store) and BORIS (Buy Online, Return in Store), using Enable Now to deliver intuitive and engaging learning experiences.
On the Job Training
Training was delivered directly on iPads, allowing store managers and sales representatives to learn in a simulated environment that mirrored their daily workflow. This hands‑on approach helped employees quickly understand how to use the system during real customer interactions, reinforcing confidence and competence.
Performance Support
To ensure ongoing support beyond the initial training, we provided clear job aids and quick reference materials. These resources enabled employees to easily revisit key steps and processes, fostering a supportive learning environment and encouraging continuous improvement.
The Impact
The training program delivered measurable improvements across ASICS’ retail operations. Employees appreciated the practical, scenario‑based approach, and the organization saw rapid adoption and enhanced performance.
Quick Adoption
Within six to eight weeks, the new system was fully embraced across all stores, with minimal disruption to daily operations.
Enhanced Customer Experience
With iPads and the new SAP module, employees could instantly assist customers with stock checks, online orders, and returns, creating a smoother and more personalized in‑store experience.
Operational Efficiency
Streamlined processes for inventory and online order management improved store performance and reduced operational complexity.
\Through this collaboration, ASICS achieved a seamless transition to their new retail system, strengthening both customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
