To ensure a smooth and successful integration of the acquired Stork organisation into SAP, Bilfinger sought a partner who could deliver clear, practical, and engaging training. The new system introduced essential SAP functionalities for Projects, online Purchasing, and Timewriting. By partnering with SMS, who had already supported the SAP implementation in 2021 and 2022, Bilfinger aimed to equip their new colleagues, both managers and employees, with the confidence and skills to adopt the Bilfinger SAP environment quickly and effectively, enabling them to bring their expertise into practice from day one.

eLearning and Practical Training:
To support the newly integrated Stork colleagues in mastering the Bilfinger SAP modules, SMS developed a training curriculum focused on clarity, accessibility, and real‑world application. Interactive e‑learning modules were created for key scenarios in Project Systems (PS), covering new builds, maintenance, and services. By using our Digital Adoption Platform, we delivered hands‑on learning and performance support that helped employees quickly understand the new processes, build confidence in the system, and apply their skills directly in daily operations.
On‑the‑Job Training
Training was delivered directly through our Learning Management System, enabling the new colleagues to learn in a simulated environment that mirrors their daily workflow. This hands‑on approach allowed employees to practice real SAP tasks in a safe setting, supported by interactive guidance and performance support. As a result, they were able to build confidence quickly, understand the new processes more effectively, and apply their skills seamlessly on the job.
Performance Support
To ensure ongoing support beyond the initial training, we provided clear, context‑sensitive performance support, complemented by quick reference materials, job aids, and work instructions. These resources enabled employees to easily revisit key steps and processes whenever needed, creating a supportive learning environment that encourages continuous improvement and strengthens long‑term adoption.
